The only things that use the network are the pronunciation check (your phone's recognizer) and buying the upgrade. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no ads, no analytics. Your progress, vocabulary and scores live in an encrypted database on your phone and are never uploaded. The one exception is the optional pronunciation check: like voice typing, it hands your recording to your phone's speech recognizer (Google's on most phones) and gets text back.
