MediaLibre

An independent app, published by an individual. It hosts no content and distributes none: everything you get comes from the sites you choose to open. MediaLibre is a web browser paired with a download manager and a local media library. It spots the files a page publishes in open access, lets you save them to your device, then play and organise them offline. BROWSER • Tabs, bookmarks, history, find in page. • Private browsing: tabs and visits are never written to disk. • Voice search and code scanning, only when you ask. • Search engine of your choice. MEDIA DETECTION • Progressive files, unencrypted HLS and DASH streams, downloads offered by the page itself. • No special rule for any given site: the engine knows only web standards. DOWNLOADS • Queue, pause, resume, recovery after a network drop. • Wi-Fi only transfers if you prefer. • Readable file names, destination folder of your choice. LIBRARY AND PLAYBACK • Video and audio player, resume where you left off, bookmarks. • Subtitles, playback speed, background playback. • Collections, smart collections, favourites, trash. • Optional indexing of the videos and audio files already on your device. CASTING Google Cast. To cast a file from your library, it is served on your local network only, at a randomly generated address, and only for the duration of the session. The file is sent to no service. WHAT THE APP DOES NOT DO • It circumvents no technical protection, DRM included. • It does not reconstruct an encrypted stream. • It crosses no paywall, no authentication, no account restriction. • It extracts no cookie, no token, no identifier. When a protection is detected, the app says so and stops there. There is no "try anyway" option: it is a design boundary, not a hidden setting. YOUR RESPONSIBILITY You alone are responsible for how you use the app, and in particular for respecting copyright, licences and the terms of service of the services you access. Being technically able to save a file does not mean you have the right to. NO ACCOUNT NEEDED The app works with no account. Browsing, downloading, playing and organising your library never require signing in. OPTIONAL SYNC An account lets you find your favourites, collections, playback positions and settings across devices. Each category can be switched off separately, and web history and tabs are off by default. Synced data is hosted in Europe. PRIVACY • No advertising, no tracker, no analytics, no crash reporter. • Your media files are never uploaded: no feature of the app sends them anywhere. • Every address is stripped of parameters that may carry a secret before any sync. • Export your data and delete your account from within the app. LANGUAGES Interface in French and English, following the language chosen for the app in Android settings.
