Full description
Every day Logic Mastermind prints an edition of three logic puzzles: a lead, a cell puzzle and a quick one, drawn from twenty papers, each in three difficulties. Binairo (Takuzu), Star Battle, Tents, Skyscrapers, Futoshiki, Sudoku, Nonogram, Battleships, Minesweeper, Light Up, Kakuro, Slitherlink, Hitori, Nurikabe, Hashi, Suguru (Tectonic), Calcudoku (KenKen), Masyu, Magnets and Aquarium. Stuck? The hint desk does not give you the answer. It shows you the next deduction and names the technique, so the next puzzle needs one hint fewer. Every puzzle is solvable by pure logic, never by guessing, and every difficulty is defined by the hardest technique it asks of you, not by the size of the grid. New to a paper? A short lesson walks you through its rules on a small board, one tap each, then hands you a first puzzle of your own with the hint desk open. The editor says a word about each page the first time you turn to it, and then leaves you to read. The Paper Round is your own route through the papers, at any hour. A street is a technique, not a paper: "the count says" runs through Binairo, then Magnets, then Minesweeper, so one deduction is felt to carry from grid to grid. Forty-six stops a volume, in a stamp album that climbs; every street ends in a final edition, and some in a relay, where your answer to one board is printed as the next. A stop walked pays ink, and a stop walked without a hint takes the gold seal. Ink buys expression in the print shop and never a win: an ink for your own marks, a paper stock for the whole sheet, a seal design, a masthead of your own over your ledger and your clippings. Volume II prints in November. The weekend brings the twist: on Saturday and Sunday a fourth page prints one paper under one extra rule. Two stars in every region. Sums instead of clues. A Sudoku read through its sandwiches, or through its cages. A loop that must know its inside from its outside. Twenty twists take turns, so no weekend rehearses the last. Play against the clock. Every paper prints at its own hour and the results page ranks the day by race time from the print, so a second phone buys nothing; the newsroom writes the day up, and your friends' times print beside yours under "Local news". Play against a reader. The fixtures page is the paper's sport section, with one ladder and a rating across every paper: • The claim race: two readers online, one board, one clock. The first correct tap takes the cell; a wrong one costs you. Seek a reader near your rating and the seat fills in seconds. • The race: challenge a friend to the same sealed board. Each of you opens it within two days, unseen until you do, and solves it in one sitting; the faster correct board wins. • Across the table: one phone, two readers taking turns, or the paper's own player as the house. • The cup: a knockout of races drawn every Monday at nine, the final on Sunday under the twist. Your ledger keeps the honours, the month's almanac with a seal on every day you solved, and the figures; the back issues hold every edition since No. 1, a month at a glance. Set like a newspaper: paper and ink, no cards, no confetti, and a clock only on the day's race. Nothing arrives that you did not ask for: every notice is opt-in, and none comes while you are reading. Advertisements are small, labelled and never on the puzzle page; the subscriber's edition removes them, opens the whole archive, widens the hint desk and adds a bottle of ink a day. The print shop's sets and crates of ink are sold through Google Play, and nothing sold touches the puzzles. In English and Polish.

What's new

The paper now prints in Spanish, German, Portuguese and French as well as English and Polish. It follows your phone's language; on Android 13 and later you can pick one for this app alone in the system settings. The Kakuro lessons can be finished again: their keys now run from 1 to 9 on every board. Smaller corrections: the print shop names its inks, stocks and seals properly, two Aquarium hints read the right way round, and a Nonogram hint no longer says left or right in a column.
