Full description
FRAMES turns an Android phone or tablet into a facial-recognition attendance kiosk for your staff — no proprietary hardware, no fingerprint scanners, no paper sign-in sheets. Mount a device at the entrance, enrol your team once, and attendance records itself as people arrive and leave. FOR ADULT STAFF ONLY FRAMES records attendance for employees and staff aged 18 or over. It must not be used to enrol anyone under 18. Schools and colleges are welcome to use FRAMES for teaching and support staff. HOW IT WORKS • Install the app and bind it to your organization by scanning a QR code from the FRAMES web portal • Enrol each staff member once — a few seconds per person • Staff check in and out by looking at the device • Records sync to your FRAMES portal, where administrators see live attendance, reports and timesheets RECOGNITION RUNS ON THE DEVICE Face matching happens entirely on the phone or tablet. Photographs never leave the device. Only a numeric face template is synced to your own FRAMES server so a replacement kiosk can recognise existing staff. ONE-TIME SETUP DOWNLOAD Because recognition runs on the device rather than in the cloud, the app downloads its face recognition model the first time you open it — about 250 MB. Use Wi-Fi for this. It happens once, it resumes if the connection drops, and after that the kiosk needs no internet to recognise anyone. WORKS WITHOUT A NETWORK The kiosk keeps recognising and recording when the internet drops. Attendance is stored on the device and uploads automatically once the connection returns — nothing is lost, and staff are never turned away. STOPS BUDDY PUNCHING Face recognition with liveness checking ends proxy attendance. Nobody clocks in for anyone else. CONTACTLESS AND HYGIENIC Nothing to touch and nothing to clean, unlike fingerprint readers. MULTIPLE KIOSKS, MULTIPLE SITES Deploy as many devices as your plan allows. Name each one for where it sits — "Main Entrance", "Workshop", "Reception" — so records show where each check-in happened. EVENTS AND QR TICKETS On Business plans, publish a branded event registration page, approve registrants, email QR tickets automatically, and scan arrivals with the same app. WHAT YOU NEED • A FRAMES organization account — start a 30-day free trial at frames.maxcit.com • An Android phone or tablet with a front camera, Android 8.0 or newer • About 300 MB of free storage, and Wi-Fi for the one-time setup download • Somewhere to mount or stand the device PERMISSIONS • Camera — to capture faces for enrolment and recognition. This is the only sensitive permission FRAMES requests. FRAMES does not request location. A kiosk's "location" is simply a name an administrator types, such as "Main Entrance". PRICING Free 30-day trial, no card required. Paid plans start after the trial — see frames.maxcit.com/#pricing. Subscriptions are managed from the web portal, not in the app. PRIVACY Privacy Policy: https://frames.maxcit.com/privacy Terms of Use: https://frames.maxcit.com/terms FRAMES is built by MaxCIT Limited, Freetown, Sierra Leone.
