Fritten&Fax – Fax from phone

Faxing in 2026: with Fritten&Fax you send and receive faxes right from your phone – through the FRITZ!Box you already own. No fax machine, no online fax service, no subscription. Your documents travel over your own phone line, not through someone else's servers. Authorities, courts, doctors' offices, health insurers and insurance companies still ask for many things by fax. Fritten&Fax makes it as easy as sending a message: pick a document, type the number, send – with a transmission report as proof. Available in English and German – switch anytime with "DE | EN" at the top right. SEND FAXES • Pick a PDF or photo – or scan paper directly with the camera • Share from any app: "Share → Fritten&Fax" • Several recipients, cover page with subject, logo and company details • Schedule sending, automatic retry when the line is busy • Transmission report as PDF (result, duration, pages, remote station) RECEIVE FAXES • Faxes from your FRITZ!Box fax memory as PDF – with a preview of the first page • Senders shown from your contacts instead of bare numbers, grouped by day • Notification for new faxes, instantly via the box's call monitor if you like • Open, zoom, share, forward • Optional: receive directly in the app and forward by e-mail OVERVIEW AND COMFORT • Home screen with box status, sending progress and the latest faxes • Address book with favourites, recently used and CSV import/export • Call list of the box • Light and dark theme, large text, widget • English and German; cover page and transmission report follow the app language • Test fax to yourself – so you know right away that everything works YOUR DATA STAYS WITH YOU Fritten&Fax only connects to your FRITZ!Box in your home network. Faxes, phone numbers and login details are never sent to us. Login details are stored encrypted on your phone. FREE – OR AD-FREE All features are free. The app shows a small ad banner (personalised only with your consent). A one-time purchase makes Fritten&Fax ad-free forever – no subscription. In the ad-free version no advertising data is sent to Google any more. REQUIREMENTS • A FRITZ!Box with telephony/fax function (other routers such as Speedport or Vodafone Station are not supported) • CAPI over TCP enabled on the box: dial #96*3* on a connected phone • Phone in the box's home network (on the go via the FRITZ!Box VPN) • For receiving: fax function of the box with storage on the box • For instant notifications (optional): enable the call monitor with #96*5* The fax protocol transmits black and white only; the preview shows in advance how the document will arrive.
