Maha Vanya-Jeev Bharpai

The Wildlife Compensation Assistance app is an essential platform for farmers in Maharashtra to apply for compensation due to human-wildlife conflicts, such as human deaths, crop damage, or cattle kills. Designed for accessibility, the app features a user-friendly interface with multilingual support in Marathi and English, ensuring farmers of all backgrounds can navigate it easily. The app includes offline functionality for areas with limited internet connectivity, allowing users to fill out forms and upload documents, which are submitted once online. This makes it easier for farmers in remote areas to apply for wildlife compensation without needing constant internet access. Farmers can track their claims in real-time, receive updates, and ensure transparency in the process. With secure data handling through encryption, the app ensures the privacy and safety of users' information. It also includes a comprehensive FAQ section for self-help, while helplines and live assistance are available for further support. By reducing bureaucratic hurdles, the app streamlines compensation processing, enabling faster claims resolution. This helps farmers recover quickly from wildlife-related losses. The app also collaborates with local authorities, NGOs, and MAHAFOREST to ensure a fair and efficient claims process. It helps farmers submit crop damage claims and report incidents involving maha vanya jeev (wildlife species), ensuring a transparent and timely process. The Wildlife Compensation Assistance app empowers farmers to deal with cattle kills, crop damage, and other challenges caused by wildlife, fostering better collaboration and resilience in Maharashtra. It’s a vital tool that strengthens the response to human-wildlife conflicts and provides much-needed support to the farming community.
