Friction: App Blocker & Focus Live

Protect your focus. Earn your rewards. 🛡️ You know that feeling. You open your phone to check one message, and two hours later, you’re lost in an infinite scroll loop. That’s the algorithm trying to steal your time, your productivity, and your dopamine. It’s time to push back. Friction isn’t just another app blocker or productivity timer—it’s your digital shield for better digital wellbeing. We don’t believe in mindless restrictions. We believe in earning your chill time. HOW IT WORKS: 1. The Shield: Select the apps that steal your focus (TikTok, Instagram, etc.). Friction locks them away. 🔒 2. The Price: When you want to access your apps, the Shield demands a price: a specific step goal. 3. The Reward: Walk, move, and hit your goal. Once you’ve paid the price, you unlock your "Chill Time." BUILT FOR YOUR LIFE: · Powered by Google Health Connect: Friction integrates seamlessly with Health Connect to track your movement accurately and securely. 🏃‍♂️ · Chill on your terms: Configure specific "Chill Hours" (schedules) where the Shield drops automatically. You set the rules. ⏳ · Emergency Bail-out: Need access right now? We include an emergency bail-out. We trust you to use it wisely—don't let the algorithm win. ⚡ WHY FRICTION? · Tough Love: No more mindless scrolling. If you want the apps, you pay with movement. · Gamify your habits: Turn your screen time into a fitness challenge and improve your daily step count. · Focus, Unlocked: Reclaim your brain from the algorithm and boost your productivity. Protect your focus. Earn your rewards. Friction helps you live in the real world, not the digital one. ==== Accessibility Statement ==== Friction uses the Accessibility API (AccessibilityService) solely to detect in real time when the user's selected applications are opened. This function is essential to display the lock screen ("The Shield") and ensure that the user completes their intended steps before accessing them. Friction does not collect, store, or share any personal data or usage information through this service.
