VISION Study

The VISION Study mobile app is a participant-facing application used as part of a health research study. The app is intended only for individuals who are participating in the study and whose participation is governed by the applicable informed consent form, study protocol, and clinic/study team instructions. Participants use the app to complete study-related activities on their mobile device throughout the study. This includes daily diary completion and study questionnaires that become available according to the participant’s study timeline. To access the app, participants must first provide informed consent and register with the study team. Once registered, participants can sign in using their phone number and a one-time verification code sent by text message. No password is required. The app organizes study activities into a simple participant workflow. Available activities appear in the app when they are relevant to the participant’s current study stage. Daily Diary entries are created automatically during the pre-treatment and post-treatment periods. Participants will use the diary to record study-related symptoms and responses, including headache presence and severity, facial pain/pressure, symptoms, and medication use. The app will also present validated questionnaires such as MIDAS, SNOT-22, CSI, and pain assessments, depending on the participant’s study stage and the activities assigned by the study team. Treatment-day pain assessments and post-treatment questionnaires are made available according to the study schedule. Participants can view and complete current activities, catch up on eligible past diary entries within the permitted study window, and see activity status through the app experience. Once an activity is outside the allowed completion window, it may be hidden or become unavailable for submission. Study timing is based on the treatment date and other study rules managed by the study team. The VISION Study app is not a general health app and is not intended for use outside the research study. It does not replace medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency care. Participants should follow the instructions provided by their clinician, study team, and informed consent materials.
