Plainspoon – Real Life Social

Tired of social media? So are we. Plainspoon is a quiet social app for ordinary, everyday life — no algorithm, no ads, no notifications, no pressure. It breaks free from the boasting and the constant comparison that today's social media creates, and focuses on one thing: the humble daily lives of the neighbors around you. ◾ Our Philosophy: Communication Without Noise No comments on photo posts. No forced notifications. No business ads. No DMs. Free from others' reactions and real-time alerts, you can quietly drop in whenever you like — to record and to empathize, at your own pace. 1️⃣ A Feed Without Algorithms Instead of sensational content pushed by an algorithm, you see moments from the neighbors you care about, and ordinary scenes you happen upon — just as they are. 2️⃣ Empathy Instead of Boasting No fancy filters, no showing off. Just the everyday fragments we all share. With the Empathy button on every post, you send silent support and a warm heart. 3️⃣ Privacy and Selective Sharing Show your memories to everyone, or share them only with the Neighbors who follow you. ◾ Key Features 1️⃣ Record Your Ordinary Day No complicated editing — just one photo and a single hashtag to capture the moment. Write down your honest thoughts, open up about what's on your mind, or simply find a little comfort. 2️⃣ Plaza — A Quiet Place to Connect In the Plaza, where recently active neighbors gather, you can whisper quietly, write a Daily Log to share your day in real time, or join a group chat with everyone online right now. 3️⃣ Mailbox — The Beauty of Slowness Exchange anonymous letters with a recently active neighbor. Delivered slowly, they connect you in a calm, unhurried way. 4️⃣ Travel — Chance Encounters Neighbors' daily moments reach you at random, bringing unexpected comfort and joy. Or board Air Plainspoon, a flight that departs at set times: put your phone down for a digital detox, and when you land safely, the distance is stamped into your own passport — one trip at a time. From short hops to long hauls, a brief pause becomes a journey. 5️⃣ Diary — A Record Just for You A private diary no one else can see. Capture your day with today's mood, a cover photo, and writing as long as you like. On the calendar, the days you journaled and the streaks you quietly kept gather together, turning ordinary days into a book of your own. 6️⃣ A Healthy Community Humblebrags and harmful posts (hateful or explicit), along with ill-behaved users, are blinded or quarantined through reports from nearby neighbors — so the space stays clean and peaceful, sustained by the community itself. ◾ Made For - Introverts who find ordinary social media hard to use. - Anyone worn out by endless notifications and comment battles. - People tired of promotional posts cluttering their feed. - Anyone who doesn't want to feel down comparing their life to others'. - Those who'd rather leave behind small everyday moments than grand records. - Those who want quiet, warm bonds with anonymous neighbors. Capture your ordinary yet precious daily life on Plainspoon today. In a calm space where only kind neighbors exist, your story — and your Empathy button — can become a small comfort to someone.
