Every family runs on paper: school newsletters, practice cards, the sheet stuck to the fridge. Cadent Family turns all of it into one calendar everyone can see, and it starts with a photo. PHOTOGRAPH A SCHEDULE, APPROVE THE EVENTS Photograph a school newsletter, a sports card or a party invite, or choose a picture you already took. Cadent Family reads the page into suggested events, with dates, times and places filled in. Nothing reaches your calendar until you tick the ones you want. The app proposes; you decide. SHARE WITH THE PEOPLE AROUND YOUR FAMILY Link with a grandparent, a co-parent in another home, or a coach. Each of you keeps your own family calendar, and you share only the events you choose. They see a read-only copy, and can remove it from their calendar at any time. CHORES THAT EARN REWARDS - Chores earn points, with streaks and a weekly leaderboard - A parent sets the rewards: screen time, a movie pick, a trip for ice cream - Kids redeem their points, and a parent approves the treat - Recurring chores come back every day or week on their own ONE CALENDAR FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY - Month, week, day and list views, color-coded by category - Separate Personal and Organization calendars, so school and team schedules have their own place - Repeating events on the days you choose - Follow the calendar a school, team or club publishes, and it stays up to date - Show your family calendar in Outlook or Google Calendar with a private link - Decide who sees each event: the whole family, just you, or the people you pick SHOPPING LISTS EVERYONE ADDS TO - Several lists, like Groceries and a warehouse run - Items grouped by aisle, with quantities and notes - Star the staples you buy every week - Changes appear for everyone as they happen REMINDERS AND ALARMS - "Remind me before" for the events that matter - Alarms that ring until you dismiss them - Quiet hours, so a late reminder never wakes the house MAKE IT YOURS - Themes, colors and fonts, in light or dark - Photo or emoji avatars, and a calendar background of your own - Available in 13 languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, French and German SET UP BY A PARENT A parent creates the family and adds everyone else. Children do not need accounts of their own. Sign in with Google or with email. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your calendar is visible only to your family and to the people you share an event with, and that is enforced in the app and again in the database. There are no ads, and we do not sell your data or share it for advertising. A NOTE ON THE PHOTO FEATURE When you choose a photo to import, the image is sent to Anthropic's API (the maker of the Claude AI models) to be read into text and dates. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data sent through the API is not used to train their models. If you never use the photo feature, no images are sent. Full details are in our privacy policy.
