Full description
RecLineup is for the person who runs the team — the one who books the diamond, chases the RSVPs, finds a sub at 4 p.m. and knows who still owes for the season. It is built for Canadian recreational leagues: slopitch, hockey, indoor soccer, and whatever else you play on a weeknight. Your players never have to install anything. Most of a rec roster will not download an app, create an account or remember a password. So RecLineup does not ask them to. You post one link into the group chat you already have, and anyone in it can say who they are and whether they are in — from their phone, in a browser, in about five seconds. If your team is on Telegram, add the RecLineup bot to the group and every game gets posted with In and Out buttons that update live as people tap. WHAT IT DOES Roster. Paste your roster in from a spreadsheet or a message and it becomes a team. Set roles, mark who is a regular and who is a spare, keep the spare pool in the order you want to call it, and see at a glance how each person can be reached. Schedule. Add the season's games one at a time or paste the whole schedule. The next game is pinned, played games fold away, and every time is shown in your team's own time zone — because Canada has six of them and a 7:30 in Regina is not a 7:30 in Halifax. Headcount. See who is in, out, unanswered — and whether you are safe, tight or short against the number you need to avoid a forfeit. If your league has a women-on-field minimum, RecLineup counts that too. Mark someone in on their behalf, and copy a nudge for the people who have not answered. If your team is on Telegram, RecLineup reminds them itself the day before. The bat signal. Short with two hours to go? Tell RecLineup how many you need and it reaches your spares and posts a claim button into the chat. Spares who said yes to texts through a link you sent them can be reached by text, on Canadian numbers only. First tap gets the spot, the count updates everywhere, and you get a named list of anyone it could not reach — because eleven of fifteen silently is how you forfeit. Who owes what. Record a charge for the season or a single game, split it evenly to the cent, take payments whole or partial, and see balances sorted worst-first. Send a player a private link to their own tab. Nothing is ever quietly edited — a mistake is voided and re-entered, so the record can be trusted. RecLineup does not process payments; it keeps the book, and shows everyone how the team likes to be paid. Duties. Bases, game balls, beverages, the key to the equipment shed — give each one a name per game, and RecLineup suggests whose turn it is based on who has gone longest without. The assignments show up in the app, in the group chat post, in Telegram and on the RSVP page, where each player sees their own chore first. WHAT IT COSTS Each team needs its own season pass. It is bought once in the app, covers that team for eight months, and never renews on its own — there is no subscription. Before you buy, try a demo team from the first screen. BUILT FOR THE MANAGER One manager, or a manager and an assistant. Assistants can run games, the roster and the bat signal; only managers see the money. Apart from the day-before reminder, everything that goes to your players goes as a message you can read before you send it. RecLineup collects the names and contact details you enter for your roster, and the answers your players give. It does not sell them, does not advertise, and does not track anyone across other apps or sites. Full policy at reclineup.app/privacy. Made in Ontario by Longarm Software.

What's new

You can now delete a team from Settings, in the section with the team's name. The app counts what goes before you confirm. If a team stops playing, you can keep what's left of its season pass for the next team you create, with no new pass needed. The app is also a smaller download.
