Pocket BBS Pro

Pocket BBS Pro is a precision Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) calculator built for Indian civil engineers, contractors, and site supervisors. Generate accurate cutting lengths, bar counts, weights, chair quantities, and development lengths for every common RCC element — in seconds, fully offline, right from your phone. Whether you're at the steel yard, on a construction site without internet, or estimating quantities from a drawing, Pocket BBS Pro replaces the back-of-the-envelope sums with a clean tabular BBS that follows Indian Standards. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ KEY FEATURES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ▸ 9 element categories with 60+ sub-types — Beam (Simply Supported, Cantilever, Continuous, Fixed, Doubly Reinforced, T-Beam, L-Beam, Plinth, Tie/Strap), Column (Rectangular, Square, Circular Tied, Circular Helical, Short, Slender, Composite), Slab (One-way, Two-way, Cantilever, Flat, Waffle, Ribbed, Chajja), Foundation (Isolated Square/Rect/Circular, Combined Rect/Trap, Strap, Strip, Raft, Pile Cap), Staircase (Dog-legged, Open Well, Quarter/Half/Straight Turn, Spiral, Free-Standing, Bifurcated), Lintel, Parapet Wall, Retaining Wall (Cantilever, Counterfort, Buttress, Gravity), and Sill Band. ▸ Built on Indian Standards — IS 2502:1963 (bending & fixing), SP 34:1987 (handbook on reinforcement & detailing), IS 456:2000 (plain & reinforced concrete code of practice). Development length tables for Fe415 / Fe500 / Fe550 in M15 to M40 grades. ▸ Every BBS includes — Bar mark, shape, diameter, number of bars, cutting length, total length, unit weight, total weight, development length, chairs (where applicable), and per-diameter totals. ▸ Reference diagram for every element — see what you're calculating before you enter dimensions. ▸ Export anywhere — Download as CSV, Excel (.xlsx), or PDF. Share via WhatsApp, email, Drive, or print directly. Combine multiple element BBS into a single project document with a steel-summary cover page. ▸ Save projects offline — Every calculation can be saved on your device and reopened later. No internet, no login, no cloud required. ▸ Imperial + Metric — Switch between millimetres and inches with a single tap. Bar diameters always stay in mm (industry standard). ▸ Three professional themes — Dark (high contrast for night/site use), Bright (daylight & office), and Steel Reinforcement (industrial gunmetal with rebar mesh accents). ▸ Minimal input, maximum output — Only the essential dimensions are required. The app handles every other calculation, including bend deductions, hook lengths, chairs, and anchorage. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHO IT'S FOR ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • Civil engineers preparing site BBS • Bar benders & fabricators verifying drawings • Quantity surveyors estimating steel weight • Construction supervisors on residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects • Engineering students learning BBS as per IS code ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Pocket BBS Pro is built for real Indian site conditions — minimal data, fast results, IS-code compliant, and 100% offline. No subscriptions for core features. No login walls. No cloud dependency. Your data never leaves your phone unless you choose to share an export. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ DISCLAIMER ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ BBS quantities are generated using standard Indian conventions and typical detailing assumptions. Always verify final quantities against project drawings and the structural engineer's specifications before fabrication. The developer accepts no liability for site decisions made solely from app output.
