Full description
The 1987 Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines, also known as the Saligang Batas, arranged for study: all 18 Articles and 303 sections, from the Preamble to the Transitory Provisions, in a reader built around the way students and citizens actually look things up. HOW THE APP IS ORGANISED Articles: every Article has its own tile, with its Roman numeral and section count. Article IX opens into its four parts: Common Provisions, the Civil Service Commission, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) and the Commission on Audit. Articles with titled parts, such as Article II (Principles and State Policies) and Article XIII (Labor, Agrarian and Natural Resources Reform, Health, Women, Human Rights and more), show those headings above their sections. Topics: an A–Z index takes you straight to a subject. Look up Suffrage, Citizenship, Urban Land Reform and Housing, or Human Rights and open the provision without knowing its Article number first. Pinned: the sections you pin, the notes you write and the sections you read recently are gathered in one place. READING A SECTION • Focus mode: the text fills the screen and the controls step aside while you scroll. • A slider moves through the whole Constitution section by section, so you can go from the Bill of Rights to the Judicial Department in one motion. • Previous and next buttons follow the order of the document. • Copy the text, copy a formatted citation, or share a provision. • Resume where you stopped, with a marker showing how far into the text you have read. SEARCH Search every word of the Constitution from a pull-up panel. Narrow the results to the Bill of Rights, Government (Articles VI to X), Rights and welfare, or the Economy, and see each match highlighted in its sentence. Recent searches are kept so you can run them again. MAKE IT YOUR OWN • Write notes on any section: doctrines, recitation points or reminders for class. • Choose from four text sizes, a serif or sans-serif reading font, and paper, sepia or night page tones. • Use a light, dark or system theme. WHO IT IS FOR Bar examinees reviewing Political Law, law and political science students, teachers preparing lessons on the three branches of government, researchers, and every Filipino who wants to read the rights in Article III, the principles in Article II, or the ways the Constitution can be amended under Article XVII. WHAT IS INSIDE The Preamble; National Territory; Declaration of Principles and State Policies; Bill of Rights; Citizenship; Suffrage; the Legislative, Executive and Judicial Departments; Constitutional Commissions; Local Government; Accountability of Public Officers; National Economy and Patrimony; Social Justice and Human Rights; Education, Science and Technology, Arts, Culture and Sports; the Family; General Provisions; Amendments or Revisions; and Transitory Provisions. ABOUT THIS APP This is an independent study reader published by Logicpath Systems. It is not a government app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Government of the Philippines or any of its offices. The text is reproduced for learning and quick reference and is not legal advice. Where anything in the app differs from the official text, the official text prevails.
