Lode Field Poles

Lode Field Poles is a quiet grid puzzle about polarity. Every field arrives already divided into two-cell bars. Your job is to decide what each bar holds: a plus pole on the left and a minus pole on the right, the same pair the other way round, or nothing at all. Tap a bar to cycle it, and the whole field answers back. TWO RULES SHAPE EVERY ANSWER Like poles repel. Two cells that share an edge can never carry the same pole. A plus may sit beside a minus, or beside an empty half, but never beside another plus. Every line has a quota. The red numbers above and to the left say how many plus poles a column or a row must hold. The blue numbers below and to the right do the same for minus poles. The moment a line already carries everything it is allowed, every remaining bar in that line has to be blank, and that is where the most satisfying deductions come from. WHAT IS INSIDE - Three field sizes: 6 x 6 for a short read, 8 x 8 for a proper sit-down, 10 x 10 for a long careful one. - A fresh field every time, laid out on your device and checked to have exactly one answer before it reaches the board, so careful reasoning is always enough and guessing is never required. - Live strip feedback: a number turns green the instant its line matches, and is boxed in red if you overshoot it. - Clashing neighbours shove apart with a small pulse, so a mistake is visible at a glance instead of hiding until the end. - Undo, a hint that fills one bar, and a running clock. - A field log with solved counts, best times per size, hints taken and hint-free clean solves. - Eight awards, all earned by play. BUILT TO STAY OUT OF THE WAY - Completely offline. There is no network code in the app and no internet permission in the manifest. - No ads. No pop-ups, no banners, no interruptions of any kind. - No accounts, no sign-in, no tracking, no analytics. - Completely silent. There is no sound at all. Feedback is visual, with an optional haptic tick you can switch off. - Your progress is stored on your device and nowhere else. - The whole board, every pole and every arc, is drawn as vector graphics, so it stays crisp on any screen and the download stays tiny. Portrait, dark, and deliberately plain: a steel field, two charged colours and a set of numbers that always tell the truth.
