Full description
You didn't decide to open it. Your thumb did. Loch puts a wall in front of the apps you reach for by reflex. It doesn't lecture you, and it doesn't lock you out — it just makes getting in take a moment, which is usually long enough to notice you didn't mean to. A WALL, NOT A LOCK Pick the apps you keep opening. Loch stands in front of them. When you try to open one, you get the loch instead: still water, and a wait. THE WAIT IS THE POINT Five minutes costs fifteen seconds. Ten minutes costs thirty. Twenty minutes costs a minute. The wait runs whether or not you watch it, so there's nothing to game — only time to sit with the fact that you're about to do the thing again. Leave Loch while you're waiting and the wait starts over. That isn't a punishment; it's the whole mechanism. EVERY APP ON ITS OWN CLOCK Unlock one app and the others stay behind the wall. When time runs out, the wall comes back the moment you reach for that app again. A minute beforehand, Loch says so. NOBODY IS WATCHING Loch has no account, no sign-in, and no server. Which apps you block, how long you waited, how often you backed out — all of it stays on your phone, because there is nowhere else for it to go. To know when to put the wall up, Loch reads one thing: the name of the app that just came to the front. Never what's on your screen, never what you type. That's what the accessibility permission is for, and that's all it does. FREE, AND HONEST ABOUT WHY Loch is free because ads play during the wait — inside the time you were already spending, never on top of it. If you'd rather not see them, leave any tip and they're gone for good. WHAT LOCH CAN'T DO Uninstall Loch and every block goes with it. Turn its service off in Settings and the wall comes down. Loch is a speed bump you agreed to, not a lock someone else holds the key to. If you want something you can't undo, Loch isn't it.

What's new

Opening a blocked app in landscape now keeps Loch in landscape. The shield, wait, and unlock screens adapt to the wider layout.
