Here-O Attendance

Here-O Attendance is a classroom attendance system for schools. Teachers open a session, students scan a QR code, and the record is saved instantly — no paper sheets and no manual tallying at the end of the term. Accounts are issued by the school. The app has no public sign-up, so you will need credentials from your institution's administrator to sign in. FOR TEACHERS • Organize courses by semester, with schedules and room details • Build a class roster by importing a student list or searching enrolled students • Open an attendance session and display a QR code for students to scan • Or record attendance manually with a checklist when scanning isn't practical • Review attendance per session or per student, including late and absent counts • Export a course report as an .xlsx file to your Downloads folder • Send an SMS alert to a parent or guardian when a student reaches the absence limit FOR STUDENTS • See your enrolled courses and class schedules • Scan your teacher's session QR code to mark yourself present • Track your own attendance history and absence count per course • Get notified when you are flagged for repeated absences • View your personal QR code for teacher-side scanning VERIFIED, NOT JUST SCANNED A QR code alone is easy to share, so attendance is confirmed against where the student actually is. When a student scans, the app checks that their device is inside the classroom's radius using GPS and detects the teacher's device nearby over Bluetooth. Scans from outside the room are rejected. If the network drops mid-session, attendance is stored on the device and uploaded automatically once the connection returns, so a weak signal in the classroom does not cost you a record. FOR GUIDANCE AND STUDENT AFFAIRS • Guidance reviews students blocked for repeated absences and clears them for re-admission • Student Affairs (DSA) handles the re-admission list after clearance • Both can download their list for filing and follow-up FOR ADMINISTRATORS • Create and manage Teacher, Student, Guidance, DSA and Admin accounts • Set up and switch the active semester for the whole school PERMISSIONS • Camera — to scan QR codes • Location — to confirm a student is inside the classroom when marking attendance • Bluetooth — to detect that the student and teacher are in the same room • Storage — to save exported reports to your Downloads folder Location is used only at the moment of an attendance check. It is not tracked in the background and is not shared with other users.
