Full description
Pigeon is a messaging app where nothing arrives instantly. Every message travels a real distance before it reaches someone, and the farther apart you are, the longer the trip takes. The wait is the point, not a delay to work around. Choose how a message travels: Pigeon flies day or night and carries up to two pictures. Hours, plus the distance. The dependable default. Bat only flies between 6pm and 6am your local time. Short at 280 characters, the fastest route there is, written after dark and delivered before morning. Letter holds the most words and pictures and moves the slowest per mile. For things worth composing, not typing. Whisper stays off the traveling map and unseals slowly, letter by letter, until the whole message is there. It can't be rushed. Bottle isn't sent to anyone. Cast it into the sea and it drifts for up to 24 hours, surfacing to a limited set of compatible people. Text only. Discovery is possible, never guaranteed. Each person who finds it can reply once, and a reply starts a real correspondence. Follow your own from My Bottles. Watch pigeons, bats, and letters cross a real map in your traveling tab, the way you'd track a parcel you actually care about. Collect the countries you write to: Attach a postal card from your own country to a message. Cards you receive stay in your collection as keepsakes and can't be passed along, so every one you own arrived because somebody chose to send it to you. Your correspondence passport keeps a private record of the countries your messages have actually reached. It is yours alone, with no public version. Find someone worth writing to: Discover shows people who share your interests, people from countries other than your own, and whatever bottles are drifting nearby. No swiping, no deck of faces. Interests, profiles, and someone's own words are what you go on. A first message is a request. It travels by Pigeon, text only, and the person you wrote to accepts or declines before any conversation opens. If something arrives in a language you don't read, you can translate it where it sits. Pigeon is for people who want to write, not just react: friends who live far apart, new pen pals, language exchange, or someone you are only starting to know. One traveling message per carrier to the same person at a time, so nothing turns into a numbers game. Pigeon is for adults. It makes no promises about outcomes. Blocking, reporting, and human review of bottles keep the sea safe to explore.
