Live Subtitles: Live Translate

Live Subtitles is a real-time voice translator and live caption app. It listens to the sound playing on your phone, or to people around you through the microphone, and shows live subtitles with translation while the words are spoken. Watch a video in a foreign language, follow a lecture or understand a conversation without waiting. Dual subtitles: the original text and the translation appear together, one under the other, so you can read both. You can also show only the translation or only the original. GOOD TO KNOW • An internet connection is required: recognition and translation run in the cloud. • Phone audio mode uses the Android screen capture permission only to receive sound. No video of your screen is recorded. • Some audio is protected by Android and cannot be captured by any app, for example phone and VoIP calls and some DRM-protected streams. • Android 10 or later. QUESTIONS • Can it translate a YouTube video into my language? Yes. Start in Phone audio mode, open the video, and live subtitles with translation appear over it. • Can it work as a simultaneous interpreter for a talk in the room? Yes. Use Microphone mode and keep the phone close to the speaker. • Can I use it only as live captions, without translation? Yes.
