Sound like a native. Shadowing is how actors, diplomats, and language professionals master an accent: you listen, then you copy — word for word, rhythm for rhythm. HOW IT WORKS 1. Listen to your coach say a real line. 2. Shadow it — the words, the rhythm, the energy. 3. Get scored, see what to fix, go again. Your voice stays on your phone. Recording, transcription, and scoring all happen on-device. Nothing is uploaded. On Wi-Fi the app quietly installs a scoring pack so it can mark how close your sounds are — on your phone, offline. On mobile data it waits. You can still practise in the meantime. YOUR COACH Pick Lucy, Mike, Marco, or Brooke. Their voice is your target. Lucy’s full library ships with the app, and every coach’s Unit 1 is free. Mike, Marco, and Brooke’s remaining libraries download separately after you subscribe, so you only grab the voice you want. WHAT YOU PRACTISE Ten American English units: foundations, word stress and schwa, connected speech, intonation, the American R and T, TH and dark L, register, discourse, and emphasis. Plus job-interview lines, presentations, difficult words, minimal pairs, and real-world English. A daily mix of five. Streaks if you show up. Tap a score to hear the bit that needs work.
