ABA Prep: RBT Exam 2026

ABA Prep is a study app for the RBT certification exam, written to the BACB's Test Content Outline (3rd edition) that took effect on January 1, 2026. WRITTEN FOR THE CURRENT OUTLINE The task list changed this year. Six domains, 43 tasks, and Behavior Acquisition dropped from 32% of the exam to 25%. Most study material still follows the retired 2nd-edition list. Every lesson and question here is weighted to the new one. EVERY ANSWER EXPLAINED No bare right-or-wrong. Each question tells you why the correct answer is correct and why the tempting one is not - and the explanation always agrees with the answer key. PRACTICE THE WAY THE EXAM ASKS The real exam is 85 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes, and it asks about situations, not definitions. The questions here are short workplace scenarios with four options, drawn across all six domains in the same proportions as the outline. AN EXAM SIMULATOR YOU CAN LEARN FROM • The full 85-question paper on a 90-minute clock, one attempt at each question • Skip and flag questions, then check a review grid before you submit • Your score against an 80% readiness target (ABA Prep's own target - the BACB reports the real exam as pass/fail only), broken down by domain • Tap any domain to see every question, your answer, the correct one and why • Leave mid-exam and pick up where you left off; past attempts are saved AN AI TUTOR ON EVERY LESSON Stuck on a reading or a question? Ask the built-in tutor. It answers from the lesson in front of you - a real-world example, a simpler explanation, or the same idea said a different way. BUILT AROUND WHAT ACTUALLY LOSES MARKS The line between what an RBT does and what a BCBA decides. Objective session notes versus subjective ones. Ethics and documentation - the two areas candidates report struggling with most. WHAT'S INSIDE • Lessons across all six content domains, mapped to the 43 tasks • Practice questions weighted to the official outline • A timed exam simulator built to the real paper's shape • Review questions attached to every lesson RESPECTFUL BY DESIGN Scenarios are written around client dignity, assent and choice. Many people taking this exam are autistic themselves; the language here reflects that.
