Full description

Leafari turns the outdoors into a real-world treasure hunt. Point your camera at any wild plant or bug, and our AI instantly tells you what it is, why it matters, and how it fits into the bigger story of your local ecosystem. Our mission: To make learning ecology fun, accessible, and habit-forming—shifting how you see nature from "just scenery" to a cast of characters, each playing an important role. The more you know, the more you care, and the more you care, the more you protect. What you can do with Leafari: - Snap & identify instantly – Point your camera at a flower, fern, ladybug, or beetle and get an answer in seconds. - Learn what you found – Edibility and folklore for plants, diet and lifecycle for bugs, conservation status for both—all in bite-size facts. - Stay safe outdoors – Toxic-plant warnings, plus a clear safety headline on every bug: does it sting, bite, or pose an allergy risk? - Make it a game – Earn XP, unlock unique badges, and climb the Explorer ranks with weekly quests and seasonal events. Fast and flying bugs even earn a 2× Speed Bonus. - Meet Noki, your guide – Your Leafari companion cheers on every find and helps you learn as you explore. - Be the first to discover – Log a plant or bug before anyone else in your area and plant your flag. Your name appears on every other explorer's map. Why Leafari is different: Most nature apps stop at "what is this?" We focus on "why it matters"—and on making ecology as fun to learn as a language. Plants and bugs live in one growing collection, designed to pull you outside and keep you curious. Born as a family project in the world's largest hackathon, Leafari even won an award in the "We Didn't Know We Needed This" category. But the real prize is watching people explore the wild world around them with new eyes. Download Leafari today and start turning your walks into quests. The story of nature is waiting—one snap at a time.
