Mizzle: White Noise & Sleep

Mizzle is a white noise and sleep sound app for people who just want to fall asleep and be left alone. No accounts. No sign-in. No ads. No analytics, no crash reporting, no third-party tracking. Mizzle makes no network requests of its own and has no servers to send anything to. One payment unlocks everything, forever: there is no subscription and nothing else to buy. FIFTY-FOUR SOUNDS, EACH ONE MEASURED Not a library you scroll through. Every sound in Mizzle has been levelled by hand and checked against the same tests: that it does not audibly repeat, that it sits at the same loudness as everything else, and that its energy lands where a phone speaker can actually reproduce it. Several recordings were rejected outright for failing that last one. Nothing here is a thirty-second clip on a loop. Nineteen of the fifty-four are synthesized on your phone as they play, so they never repeat the same way twice. The other thirty-five are Creative Commons field recordings, chosen and trimmed one at a time, and every one of them is credited inside the app. Rain on a window, rain on leaves, a creek, a river, waves, a steam train, a sleeper car, cabin hush, a real fire, crickets, a dawn chorus, six colours of noise, and a few quiet melodies. Seven groups: noise colours, rain, water, nature, home, travel and melodies. LAYER UP TO FIVE Mix up to five sounds at once with a volume slider on each. Most sounds also shape from calm to wild, so a downpour can be a drizzle or a deluge without leaving the mixer. Save your own mixes and start them from a home screen widget or a Quick Settings tile. Hold any sound to keep it in Favourites. FOR THE NIGHT - A sleep timer that fades out over the last thirty seconds instead of stopping dead - Overnight softening, to get gradually quieter after a set hour - A bedtime reminder - A dimmable bedside clock for the small hours ABOUT THE INTERNET PERMISSION Mizzle holds the Android internet permission, and it is there for exactly one reason: Google Play Billing, which is how the unlock is sold.
