Krakye

Krakye is Ghana's Cocoa Trust Network, a mobile platform that protects the cocoa supply chain by making farmer loan obligations visible to licensed field buyers before any purchase is made. WHAT KRAKYE DOES Every year, cocoa farmers take loans from Licensed Buying Companies (LBCs) to fund their harvest. When unverified buyers purchase cocoa from farmers who have outstanding loans, the LBC loses money and farmers fall deeper into debt. Krakye solves this by giving field buyers instant access to a farmer's loan status at the point of sale. WHO IT'S FOR • Farmers: Register your profile and loan obligations so buyers can verify you instantly • Field Buyers: Look up any farmer by phone number before making a purchase • District Officers: Approve and manage field buyer registrations in your district • LBC Agents: Monitor loan repayments and flag fraudulent activity KEY FEATURES ✓ Instant Farmer Verification — Enter a farmer's phone number and see their loan status in seconds ✓ SMS OTP Login — Secure, passwordless sign-in using your Ghana phone number ✓ Voice Consent Recording — Farmers record audio consent for loan agreements, creating a legally significant record ✓ Loan Alerts — District officers and LBC agents receive real-time SMS notifications when a verification check is made ✓ Fraud Detection — The system flags suspicious patterns such as multiple buyers purchasing from the same farmer on the same day ✓ COCOBOD-Aligned — Built around Ghana's official cocoa supply chain structure including districts, regions, and licensed companies BUILT FOR GHANA Krakye was built specifically for Ghana's cocoa industry. It works on affordable Android phones, requires minimal data, and uses Africa's Talking for reliable SMS delivery across all Ghanaian networks including MTN, Vodafone, and AirtelTigo. SECURITY & PRIVACY Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising. Farmer identity details are never exposed, only loan status is shared with verified buyers. You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting [email protected].
