Full description
Accountability over accuracy. A calorie app lasts about two weeks. Weigh the food. Scan the barcode. Search a million-item database. Pick the serving. The logging is the chore, and the chore wins. Calorie Confessional is a confession booth for your calories: an easy calorie tracker that runs on plain words. Hold a button, say what you ate, and the booth adds a rough count to today's number. A rough count you actually keep beats a perfect count you quit. WHY YOU QUIT Every calorie counter is built on a promise of precision, and the price of precision is friction. It works for two weeks. Then you stop logging, and then you stop. What you lose is not the math. You lose track of the truth of your own day. The cookie at a coworker's desk. The chips while you cook. The pour of cereal that was bigger than the box says. None of it gets written down, so none of it feels real. You should not need a laboratory to be honest about lunch. THE BOOTH The booth hears a bowl of ice cream at 10 PM as something to acknowledge, not something to punish. Saying it out loud makes it real. A place that hears it without judgment is a place you come back to. That is the whole idea. HOW IT WORKS 1. Hold the button. 2. Say what you ate. 3. See today's number. Speak the way you would to a person. Several foods at once, brand names, guesses. If you know the calories, just say them. Typing works too. Speech becomes text on your phone. The words, any nutrition labels you choose to photograph, and, rarely, a short voice clip when your phone cannot transcribe you, go to an AI service to estimate the calories. The count that comes back is a good guess, not a lab result. That is the point. WHAT IS IN THE BOOTH • The floating booth. A small window that sits on top of your other apps. On purpose. Being slightly in your way is how the habit forms. Tap it, whisper your confession, get back to your day. • Calls to confession, if you want them. A check-in around midday and one in the evening. You decide how often the booth gets to bother you. • Saved confessions. Build the breakfast you eat every single day once, then confess it with one tap. • A nutrition label scanner for when the box already knows. • A home screen widget that keeps today's number where you cannot ignore it. • Quiet weight tracking, for the days you step on the scale. WHAT IS NOT No account. No ads. No analytics SDKs. No food database to search, no barcodes, no weighing. Your food log lives on your phone. The mic listens only while you hold the button. Uninstall the app and everything it stores on your phone goes with it. Nothing about you sits on a server waiting to be deleted. WHERE THIS GOES Keep confessing and you get something the precise apps never gave you. A food log you are still keeping in week three, and a calorie count you can trust because you never stopped keeping it. Skip it and it is the old story. Another perfect app, deleted by week two, and officially the chips never happened. If you keep quitting calorie trackers, Calorie Confessional is the right move. Download it and make your first confession tonight. The booth is not a doctor. Calorie Confessional is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. For medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, see a healthcare professional.

What's new

Welcome to the booth. • Hold the button and say what you ate. The booth adds a rough calorie count to today's number. • Tap the bubble to type instead, or scan a nutrition label. • Turn on calls to confession if you want a reminder. Problems or ideas? Behind the booth has a row called "Tell us how to do better."
