Recipes cross borders. Measurements do not. An American recipe says one cup of flour. A European recipe says 120 grams. They are the same amount, but only if you know what you are measuring. All-purpose, bread, cake, pastry, whole wheat, almond, coconut, oat, rye, semolina, spelt, buckwheat, rice and chickpea flours all weigh differently by the cup, and KitchenGrams keeps them apart.
