Kind Musika: Wisdom & Music

Kind Musika is a school for awakening. Ancient teachings have always asked the same essential questions: Who am I? What is suffering? What remains when I stop resisting what is here? Kind Musika brings those questions into ordinary life. Each course explores one teaching, slowly and deeply: Letting Go The Restless Mind Fear and Trust Not Two Befriending Grief Forgiveness The Beloved The Way of Water The Eightfold Path Who Am I? The teachings draw from Buddhism, Zen, Vedanta, Taoism, Sufism and A Course in Miracles — expressed plainly, without reducing them to slogans. EVERY LESSON HAS THREE DOORS READ A few short illustrated pages that bring the teaching into the life you are living now. Most take only five to ten minutes to read. SIT A guided meditation on the same teaching. Choose the time you have: seven, ten, fifteen or twenty minutes. Move from understanding the teaching to experiencing it directly. HEAR An original song that carries the teaching beyond the lesson. Jazz, soul, folk and other sounds give the words somewhere to stay. Listen while walking, driving, resting or moving through your day. Sometimes a teaching understood in silence returns later as a line of music. START WHERE YOU ARE When you first arrive, Kind Musika asks one simple question: What feels heaviest right now? Your answer opens a place to begin. Inside each course, lessons unfold in sequence, one building naturally on the last. The meditations and music remain open to explore however you like. Follow the course, browse by feeling, or return to something that has stayed with you. Some people begin with a teaching. Some begin in silence. Some hear one line in a song and find themselves somewhere they did not expect. All three doors lead to the same room.
