Application Usage: A sheet metal part with a known thickness, cut to a specific flat length to be used as the flat length, is bent once or twice. After the bending operation, the bend dimensions and inner radius (r) measured directly from the part are entered into the application. Using these values, the actual k-factor is calculated. The calculated value is then saved together with the material and thickness information for reuse in future designs, creating a reliable and consistent k-factor archive over time.
