SnagBack

SnagBack is a free snagging & general reporting app. There is no account and nothing to sign up for. You photograph what needs putting right, draw on the photo to show exactly where, and send the list to your sub on WhatsApp or by email. He opens it, does the work, photographs it and sends the same file back. You look at it and either sign it off or send it back to him with a reason. If he thinks something is not his to fix, he can say so and say why. You can accept that and take the item off the list, or tell him it still needs doing. Either way you have a written record. When the list is finished you have a PDF with the before and after photos on it and the dates. Download it, or send it to whoever needs it. Some other things: Lists are filed under the job they belong to. You can do a simple report as well, for something that is not a snag. An area not ready, access blocked, damage that was already there. Making it simple to record and communicate issues or reasons for delay. Especially useful as a subcontractor. You can put your own company logo on snag lists & reports before sending them. It works without signal. Your sub does not need the app to read the PDF, only to send fixes back. It is free for him to use too. There is no server. Your lists are on your phone, so if you lose the phone you lose them. Send the finished ones to yourself, or download to your project file.
