Full description

The German car license plates starts with a one-three character city or area code. This code refers to that city or area where the car has been started up or it has been re-registered. These codes are contained by an official database which is described on the Wikipedia at the following URL: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_der_Kfz-Kennzeichen_in_Deutschland. This small application helps to look-up the code and find out the related meaning. Version history v1.9 OBB can be used again from 15.01.2018. v1.8 Bug correction: test ads removed. v1.7 Test ads removed. v1.6 EH, BSK, FW are used again (from 09.2017) Pro version introduced. v1.5 Corrected Samsung Galaxy devices crash (OutOfMemoryError). QWERTY-style keyboard implemented. Advertisements added (sorry). v1.4 Update according to the latest List (see link on info page). Restructuring inside (improved search method, different key behaviour, info field added). Long tap on map or on shield opens URL. Link to application can be shared. Minimum Android version has been changed to 4.0 (IceCreamSandwich). v1.3 Correction: "Bundesland Rheinland Pfalz" had wrong map ("Bundesland Hessen"). Extra: Launcher icon has been changed by a nicer one.\n v1.2 Bug correction: some codes were not selectable (programming fault).\n v1.1 Bug correction: map and armour kept the last found value.\n v1.0 Initial first version.
