kakitu

Kakitu is a shilling wallet you actually own. Send money for free. Receive from anywhere on earth in seconds. Top up from M-Pesa, pay tills and paybills, and cash out back to M-Pesa — all from one app, with your money held in your hands rather than ours. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Add money — top up your wallet from M-Pesa and it lands as KSHS, shilling for shilling. • Send and receive — send to any Kakitu user instantly. Sending costs nothing. • Pay a till — pay any Buy Goods till the way you already do. • Pay a paybill — with the account number, same as always. • Withdraw — cash out to any M-Pesa number, yours or someone else's. • Paper wallets — turn shillings into a printed note with a QR code. Hand it to someone with no smartphone, no account and no internet. They claim it when they are ready. • Pay people you know — find which of your contacts already use Kakitu, without your contact list ever leaving your phone. NO GAS FEES, EVER Most crypto wallets make you hold a second coin just to pay for transactions. Kakitu does not. We cover the network cost on every transfer, so you only ever need shillings. YOUR MONEY, YOUR KEYS Kakitu is self-custody. Your recovery phrase and your keys are generated on your phone and never leave it. We cannot move your money, freeze it, or spend it — and we cannot recover it for you either. ... CHECK EVERY PAYMENT YOURSELF / PRIVACY / WHO IT IS FOR / WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
