Softly Noted: Mood Journal

Softly Noted is a private mood tracker and journal. Pick one of 15 moods, add a few words or just speak, and you are done. Entries are encrypted on your phone, and you can lock the app with a PIN, your face or your fingerprint. See your whole year in pixels, notice gentle patterns, and lean on 180 free writing prompts when words will not come. A CHECK-IN, NOT A CHORE • Choose from 15 moods, from Overwhelmed through Steady to Peaceful. • Add up to three feeling words from a long list. • Tap the day factors that shaped it, such as sleep, work, health or people. • Write as much or as little as you like, or hold to talk and let your phone type it out. • Attach a photo, and check in more than once a day when the day changes. LOOK BACK WITHOUT DIGGING • A month calendar and a searchable journal. • Year in Pixels, so a whole year fits on one screen. • Mood over time, mood balance, and which factors lift you or drain you. • Streaks, a weekly review, and a Moments timeline of favorites and photos. WHEN YOU WANT A PROMPT • Writing prompts, free for everyone. • Guided journals for mornings, evenings, gratitude, self-worth, work, change, grief, sleep and the body. • Reflection packs of longer questions when you want to go deeper. • Quiet writing ambiences, a companion that grows with you, and a choice of themes. PRIVACY THAT IS ACTUALLY BUILT IN Your entries are encrypted at rest on this phone. Speech to text runs on the device and will not fall back to a network service. The home screen widget is only a shortcut and never shows your mood or your words, and with the app lock on, your journal covers itself the moment you switch away. Optional encrypted sync between your own devices is off unless you turn it on. No ads, nothing sold, and optional anonymous usage counts that stay off unless you opt in through Settings. NEVER LOSE IT Export your whole journal as a PDF or a CSV, free. Make a password-protected encrypted backup, free, and restore it on a new phone. Delete everything from Settings whenever you want. FREE AND PREMIUM Free includes unlimited check-ins and journal history, three photos per entry, PDF and CSV export, encrypted backup, sync, the app lock, a daily reminder, free prompts and free guided journals. Premium adds deeper pattern views, longer trends, look back keepsakes, saved audio memories, up to 12 photos per entry, reflection packs, custom factors and premium themes. Premium is $3.99 a month or $29.99 a year, and the yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial. Softly Noted is a journaling companion, not a medical, diagnostic or therapy tool. It keeps links to real crisis helplines in case you ever need them.
