After a catch-up, say or type a quick note, and OldMate keeps who, where, what's new and any promise on that person's page, ready before you see them again. Saved contacts, notes, transcripts and recordings stay in the app and are backed up to your OldMate account. Signing in on a new phone restores text first; recordings download when played, or ahead if you turn on Download recordings ahead. Backup is always on while you are signed in. It catches up when you open or leave the app or pull to refresh Home. Deleting your account deletes the copy OldMate is holding. When you create your account you agree to AI processing, once, for the account. Your voice streams through OldMate's voice service to OpenAI for live transcription, and text and relationship context go to OpenAI to organise notes and guide reflections.
