Jest Tippet

Jest Tippet is an offline workshop for fly-fishing leaders, tippet, and nymph spacing. Use it on your phone before you leave for the water—no account required. Home Open workshop modules from the dashboard: Leader, Grain, Rig Board, Library, Knots, and Hatch. Load a Demo trout 5wt starter, see a seasonal hatch tip, and jump into recent recipes or saved rigs. Settings is one tap away. Leader formula bench Stack butt, mid, and tippet segments by diameter, length, and mono or fluorocarbon. Watch live totals for overall length, role ratios, knot junctions, step score, and turnover balance. Add or remove segments, name the rig, and save it locally. Diameters show in inches or millimeters (with X-rating), depending on your units setting. Grain window matcher Set rod weight and action bias, enter your line’s grain weight, and see an AFTMA grain window plus suggested taper families and a balanced, under, or overweight readout. Nymph & indicator board Drag tippet rings, droppers, and indicators on a stage with spacing rulers. Undo or redo changes, save the layout, and share a PNG spacing card. Library Browse 40+ seeded leader recipes by pack and rod weight, open a recipe for segment details, and search by name. The knot junction guide covers blood, surgeon’s, improved clinch, loop-to-loop, and tippet-ring joins with step-by-step notes. The hatch desk filters about twenty seeded patterns by season, water type, and insect group. Saved rigs Pin, duplicate, compare, delete, and reopen leaders or geometry boards stored on this device. Share a PNG summary card through the system sharesheet. Preferences Switch metric or imperial units, enable colorblind-safe diagram colors, and choose system, light, or dark appearance.
