Full description

VeraCast is a weather app that tells you what the forecast means for your day, not just the numbers. Every morning Vera writes a short briefing from the real forecast: what to wear, whether to bring an umbrella, when the UV peaks, how the evening will feel. The briefing is generated on your phone by an on-device AI model (Gemini Nano on supported devices, or a free downloadable model on others). No account, no cloud AI, and your location never leaves the app except to fetch the forecast. FREE • Current conditions, hourly and 7-day forecast • Severe weather alerts from the National Weather Service • Rain nowcast: minute-by-minute precipitation for the next hour • Smart Windows: the best hours this week for running, cycling, hiking, gardening and more • Daily AI briefing in your choice of tone • Live radar with animated rain and snow • Air quality, pollen, UV, sunrise and sunset, moon phase and pressure trend • Weather news headlines for your area • Home screen widget and Wear OS app with a temperature complication • English and Spanish PREMIUM (optional subscription, 3-day free trial) • Ask Vera: chat with the forecast. Ask whether you need a jacket tonight and get an answer grounded in the actual numbers • Now Brief: hear your chosen cards read aloud • Extended forecast to 16 days and a weekly AI outlook • 20+ activity, health and allergy outlooks: arthritis, sinus, migraine, asthma, mosquitoes, lawn mowing, camping, driving, travel and more • Custom alerts: get notified when temperature, wind, rain or UV cross the thresholds you set • Storm Log, SPC severe weather outlook and live storm cells • Trips: packing assistant and route weather for the drive • Astro-weather horoscope and pet walk outlook • Four extra briefing voices • Android Auto weather at a glance HONEST BY DESIGN Vera answers only from the loaded forecast and says so when a question is out of range. Numbers in every answer are checked against the data before you see them. Data: Open-Meteo, National Weather Service, NOAA, RainViewer, OpenFreeMap. Made by JC Mobile App Studio.

What's new

• Made for foldables: unfolded, every control sits in the strip on the right beside the tabs, and Ask Vera opens next to it without covering your forecast. Fold or unfold mid-chat and the conversation comes with you. • Ask Vera keeps up with the forecast while a chat is open, and "tonight" is judged by tonight's hours. • Vera's missing warm-weather outfits now show. A short press picks her up, so scrolling past her works.
