Edit text and code on your device PlainForge is a lightweight Android editor built to open, create, edit, and save text and code files with clarity. It prioritizes a local, simple, and focused experience for notes, configuration files, scripts, and structured documents. Main features • Edit text and code files with multiple tabs • Reopen recent files and mark favorites • Browse folders authorized by you through Android's file picker • Use find and replace with normal, extended, and regular expression modes • Get syntax highlighting for Markdown, XML, HTML, JSON, Kotlin, Java, JavaScript, CSS, Python, YAML, INI, and logs • Format JSON and XML quickly • Adjust local editor preferences, including the app language Secret vault Create files inside a local encrypted vault protected by a PIN. Secret vault files remain on the device and cannot be recovered if the PIN is lost. Local privacy PlainForge does not declare internet permission. File access stays limited to the documents and folders that you explicitly choose through Android's file picker.

What's new

PlainForge 0.9.2 adds multi-tab editing, a local PIN-protected encrypted secret vault, app language selection, syntax highlighting improvements, and visual refinements across the editor. It also includes fixes for session restore, external file opening, navigation, find/replace, and general polish for a more stable and organized offline experience.
