Why I built LoopBreak I designed this app for myself. I would catch myself picking up my phone and scrolling instead of doing something I wanted – even sitting at the dinner table with my spouse and reaching for my phone instead of being present. My screen time started adding up to four, five or six hours a day. I decided that I had enough. It was time to take back control of this habit. I didn’t want an app that simply decided what I was allowed to do. I wanted something that interrupted my automatic behavior long enough for me to make the decision. LoopBreak helps you be more intentional about the apps you open. LoopBreak uses Android’s AccessibilityService to detect when selected apps are opened so it can display the configured intervention screen. This access is used only for LoopBreak’s app-intervention functionality. LoopBreak does not use AccessibilityService to read the contents of your screen.
