Friendroid

Welcome to Friendroid. Friendroid is an anti-theft and personal safety application designed to help protect your phone and keep trusted people informed when suspicious activity or a potential theft is detected. This introduces the core Friendroid experience, including: • Theft and suspicious-activity detection • Safety and protection modes • Guardian and trusted-contact features • Emergency alerts and safety workflows • Location and security features • Chummy AI-assisted safety functionality • Early-stage anti-theft protection features • It only detects window state changes; it does NOT read messages, passwords, screen content, or personal data. • It does NOT control other apps or change system settings. • It activates only after your explicit in-app consent and can be disabled anytime in Android Settings → Accessibility → Friendroid. This is an early beta release. Some features may still be under development, and you may encounter bugs or unexpected behavior. ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE DISCLOSURE Friendroid uses the Android Accessibility Service solely for anti-theft shutdown detection: it recognizes when the system power/shutdown interface is opened so Friendroid can trigger your protective actions (alarm, guardian alerts) during a theft attempt. It only detects window state changes; it does NOT read messages, passwords, contacts, screen content, photos, or personal data, does NOT record audio or calls, and does NOT control other apps. No accessibility data leaves your device. It activates only after your explicit in-app consent ("I Understand & Agree") and can be disabled anytime in Android Settings → Accessibility → Friendroid. Your feedback is extremely valuable. Please report bugs, crashes, incorrect behavior, and suggestions so we can improve Friendroid through future releases. Thank you for being one of the first people to test Friendroid.
