MSGR — Simple Messenger

MSGR is a messenger I built because I was tired of the whole circus: "smart" recommendations, 24-hour stories and ads squeezed between messages from real people. So I made an app where you simply… talk to someone. WHAT'S INSIDE: • Plain text messages (yes, no reactions or sticker packs — for now) • File sharing up to 20 MB • Voice messages (only if both people enable them — yes, that's a feature, not a bug) • Statuses: online, busy, ready to chat, angry and a couple more • "typing..." indicator • Double check marks when a message is read • Custom statuses with emoji (💼 At work, ⏰ Busy, 😠 Angry) • Push notifications when the app is closed WHAT'S NOT HERE (on purpose): • No ads • No analytics spying on you • No "smart replies" or AI assistants • No stories, reels or any other "content" • No end-to-end encryption (honestly: messages are stored on the server to sync between devices) • No group chats (1-on-1 only, for now) HOW IT WORKS: Sign up with your email, add contacts by email, chat. That's it. If the internet drops, messages are saved and sent once the connection is back. Files are automatically removed from the server after the recipient downloads them. A FEW WORDS ABOUT SECURITY: • Passwords are stored hashed • All data travels over HTTPS • You can delete your account with all messages at any time — the button is right in the Settings • No third-party trackers WHO IT'S FOR: — People who just want to message without social noise — People tired of "read and ignored" across ten different apps — Privacy-minded users who don't want to give out their phone number (email-only sign-up) — Small teams and families who need a private channel WHO IT'S NOT FOR: — Those looking for a Telegram replacement with channels and bots — Those who need video calls — Fans of collectible NFT stickers Found a bug or have an idea? If you feel like helping — there's a "Support the author" button in Settings, but it's entirely optional. Made with love and without venture investors asking to "monetize the audience". P.S.
