Full description
The InShop Device Configuration process provides an efficient and user-friendly way to configure and onboard devices for use with the InShop system. The feature supports two distinct methods: QR Code Configuration and Unique Device Code Configuration, offering flexibility and ensuring a seamless setup experience for various operational scenarios. Features and Workflow 1. QR Code Configuration The QR code method allows for a quick and secure setup by scanning a unique QR code associated with the device or account. Process: Generate QR Code: A QR code is generated by the admin portal, app, or directly by the device (depending on the system architecture). The QR code encodes essential configuration details, such as device ID, network credentials, and account linkage information. Scan QR Code: The user scans the QR code using the InShop mobile app or dedicated scanner available with the system. The scanning process is instantaneous and captures all necessary details for the configuration. Automatic Configuration: Once the QR code is scanned, the device auto-configures itself with the provided details. This may include connecting to the network, syncing with the backend system, or registering the device to a user account. Benefits: Speed: Reduces setup time significantly. Accuracy: Minimizes the chance of errors compared to manual entry. Convenience: Can be used by individuals with minimal technical expertise. 2. Unique Device Code Configuration This method utilizes a unique alphanumeric code to manually configure and register the device. Process: Locate Unique Device Code: Each device is assigned a unique code, which may be printed on the device, displayed on its screen, or accessible via a device menu. Input the Code: The user enters the unique device code into the InShop app or admin portal. The system validates the code against the backend database to ensure authenticity. Download Configuration: Once the code is validated, the app/system retrieves the corresponding configuration details from the server. These settings are then applied to the device automatically.
