AirShield: Air Quality Monitor

AirShield combines air quality, UV index, temperature, and humidity into one easy-to-read outdoor risk score, with wind speed shown alongside it — so you always know when it's safe to go outside. Enter your health conditions, set custom alert thresholds, and let AirShield watch the skies for you. Whether you have asthma, allergies, or are looking out for a young child, AirShield adjusts your risk score to match your personal health sensitivity. KEY FEATURES: • Outdoor Risk Score (0-100) — A single number that tells you how safe it is to go outside right now. Combines AQI, UV, temperature, and humidity into one weighted score with color-coded levels: Excellent, Good, Moderate, Poor. • Smart Trigger Alerts — Set threshold-based alerts for any metric (e.g., "Notify me when AQI exceeds 150" or "Alert when UV is above 8"). Create compound triggers with AND/OR logic for precise conditions. Background monitoring checks conditions automatically and sends notifications when your thresholds are crossed. • Health Profile — Tell AirShield about your health conditions (Asthma, Allergies, Heart Condition, Pregnancy, Elderly, Young Child) and set a sensitivity level. Your risk score adjusts automatically. Health-specific trigger presets are recommended based on your conditions. • Multi-Location Monitoring — Save multiple locations and monitor conditions for each one. Set a default location for background checks, history, and the home screen widget. Search by city name or use your current GPS position. • Hourly Forecast — See expected air quality and weather conditions for the next several hours so you can plan your outdoor activities. • Trend Indicators — Each metric card shows whether conditions are rising, falling, or stable compared to previous readings. • Condition History & Charts — View historical trends for AQI, UV, temperature, humidity, and risk score over 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. Spot patterns and understand how conditions change over time. • Export Reports — Generate CSV data exports or PDF reports with summary statistics, an overall assessment, and every reading in the period. Share reports with your doctor, family, or save for your records. • Home Screen Widget — A 4x2 widget displays your current risk score, AQI, UV index, and temperature at a glance without opening the app. Updates automatically in the background. • Onboarding & Safety Presets — On first launch, AirShield offers to set up recommended safety triggers (AQI > 150, UV > 8, Risk Score > 75). • Notification Controls — Customize alert sounds, enable silent notifications for low-severity triggers, snooze alerts for 1 hour, and group multiple alerts that fire at the same time. • Dark Mode — Full dark theme support that follows your system setting or can be set manually. • Accessibility — Color-blind-friendly risk indicators using shapes in addition to colors. Content descriptions on all interactive elements. TalkBack support for the risk score gauge.
