Brook - Minimal Home Launcher

Brook is a minimal, one-handed launcher for Android: a clock, the few apps you actually use, and every other app one thumb-slide away. A clean home screen with no grid of icons, no clutter and no subscription. ▌ A one-handed launcher: one thumb, any app • The letter slider on the right edge swells under your thumb like a wave and jumps the list straight to the letter you are on. • Swipe up for the full list of your apps, sorted A to Z. • Everything sits low on the screen, where your thumb already is. ▌ Search that does more • Type a few letters to find an app. The best match lands right above the keyboard, and Enter opens it. • Search the web from the same box. • Quick sums built in: type 12×7 or 2400*18% and copy the answer. ▌ Your home screen, your way • Pin up to eight apps to your home screen and reorder them. • Hold any app to pin, reorder, hide, see app info, uninstall, or open its own shortcuts, such as "New message". • Hide the apps you never open, and bring them back any time from Customize. • Swipe down on your home screen to open notifications. • Tap the clock for alarms, and the date for your calendar. ▌ Themes that stay yours • Six themes, each with its own painted wallpaper, clock, font and colour: Night, Dusk, Lagoon, Forest, Paper and Ember. • Four clock styles: Classic, Minimal, Stacked and Day. • Six fonts, six accent colours, and a choice of original icons, themed icons (Android 13 and later) or text only. • Light and dark: Brook reads your wallpaper and picks text that stays legible. • Most styles are free. The rest unlock with one short video ad each, and stay unlocked for good. No subscription, no timer, no trial that runs out. ▌ Try the launcher before it takes over Brook opens as an ordinary app first. Look around, and when you are ready, tap "Set as home" and pick Brook in Android's own list. A short illustrated guide shows each step. You can switch back any time in Settings › Apps › Default apps. ▌ Private by design • Your app list, your pinned apps and your hidden apps never leave your phone. • No accessibility service, no notification access, no location, no contacts and no storage permission. • The apps you use are never sent to advertisers. ▌ Free, supported by ads Brook is a free minimalist launcher because ads pay for it, and full-screen ads are part of using it. One can appear after you tap in Brook, before an app you open from Brook starts, when you come back from that app, when you swipe sideways on the home screen, when you open Brook, and when you leave Customize or Recent apps. The app list has a banner at the top, which stays while you search, and one sponsored row clearly marked "Ad". Customize has a small banner and the optional videos that unlock styles. In some regions you will be asked for your ad privacy choices, and you can change them in Customize at any time. One optional, one-time purchase removes the banners, the sponsored row and the full-screen ads for good. The style videos stay optional, and there is no subscription.
