Leela Quest

Leela Quest brings contemplative board games and modern maps of self-inquiry into one place. Set an intention, roll the die, follow the snakes and arrows, and reflect on the teaching of the square you reach. FIND THE GAME BY THE NAME YOU KNOW • Leela / Lila (लीला) — the 72-square game of divine play • Gyan Chaupar / Gyan Chauper and Moksha Patam — names from the wider Indian family of games of knowledge and liberation • Shatranj al-Arifin (شطرنج العارفين), also rendered Chataranj al-'Arifin or Chatranj al Aarifeen — the Sufi game known in Turkish as Âriflerin Satrancı and Satranç-ı Urefa • Visal / Visâl / Wisal — union in the Sufi journey, a destination in some versions rather than an additional board • Rebirth — the Tibetan Game of Liberation • Jnana Bazi / Gyan Bazi — the Jain game of knowledge • Vaikuntapali / Vaikuntha Pali, also known as Paramapada Sopanam or Paramapada Sopana Patam — the South Indian path toward Vaikuntha Historical and regional versions differ in their layouts, destinations and rules. Leela Quest offers selected adaptations, rather than every edition of each game.
