Full description

Ever added something to your cart and bought it without thinking twice? Holdout is the simple app that helps you break the impulse buying cycle — one purchase at a time. HOW IT WORKS When you feel the urge to buy something, add it to Holdout instead. Choose a waiting period: 24 hours, 48 hours, or 7 days. When the timer expires, you'll get a notification asking one simple question: did you resist, or did you buy? That's it. No complicated budgets. No spreadsheets. Just a pause between the impulse and the purchase. WHY IT WORKS Impulse purchases thrive on immediacy. The moment you introduce a waiting period, you give your rational brain a chance to catch up. Most of the time, you'll find you didn't actually need it. TRACK YOUR PROGRESS Every time you resist a purchase, Holdout adds it to your savings total. Watch your savings grow over time and see your streak of resisted purchases. Each win — big or small — is tracked in your personal dashboard. FEATURES • Add any purchase with a name, price, and waiting period • Get a reminder notification when your timer expires • Mark each item as Resisted or Bought • Track your total savings and current streak • Clean, distraction-free interface • 100% private — all data stays on your device YOUR MONEY, YOUR CHOICE Holdout doesn't tell you what to buy or not to buy. It just gives you the one thing impulse purchases are designed to steal from you: time to think. Download Holdout and start saving today.
