Wakey

**No ads when your alarm rings. Ever. Not one.** The single most-hated thing about every "free" alarm app is what happens at 6 a.m. — a banner, an interstitial, a video roll-over. Wakey doesn't do that. The ringing screen, the dismiss screen, the post-dismiss screen — all ad-free, always. No exceptions. **One price. $4.99. Not $40 a year.** Other alarm apps charge a subscription. Wakey charges once. $4.99, paid one time, and you keep every Pro feature forever. No renewal. No price hike. No annual nag. **Your phone wakes up like a sunrise.** Gentle Wake (Pro) fades the screen up from black over 60 seconds, ramps the volume from a whisper to your set level, and paints an animated amber dawn behind the time. The calmest way to leave deep sleep. --- ### The wake-proof system • **Barcode dismiss — free.** Bind your alarm to any barcode in your house. Scan it to turn the alarm off. Toothpaste tube in the bathroom, coffee bag in the kitchen — wherever you want, you need to physically walk there. Most alarm apps lock this behind a paywall. Wakey doesn't. • **Snooze penalty — free.** Each snooze makes the dismiss harder. First snooze: scan a barcode. Second snooze: scan + solve a 3-digit math problem. Third snooze and beyond: scan + 5-digit math + walk 10 actual steps (we use the accelerometer). Train your brain. Stop snoozing. • **Random tone rotation — free.** Each day picks a different tone from a pool of five. Your brain can't habituate to a sound it hasn't heard in a week. Heavy sleepers swear by it. ### Partner mode — vibrate first, ring if you don't wake Switch on "Quiet start" and Wakey vibrates only for the first 30 seconds. If you don't dismiss in that window, the audible alarm kicks in. Your partner gets to keep sleeping. You still wake up. Free. ### Sleep debt tracker — free Wakey logs every dismiss and shows you, on the home screen, exactly how much sleep you got last night versus your nightly target. Tap to see a 7-day chart. Sleep As Android charges $4.99 for sleep tracking. Wakey gives it away. No health permissions needed — we just measure when you set the alarm and when you dismissed it. ### Gentle Wake — Pro 60-second sunrise: screen brightness 0 % → 100 %, alarm volume 5 % → 100 %, animated radial amber gradient pulsing dawn into the room. Paired with the gentle tone for the softest possible exit from REM. ### What's free vs. Pro **Free:** up to 2 alarms, barcode dismiss with the default code, partner mode, snooze penalty, random tone rotation, sleep debt tracker, full barcode-scan dismiss. **Pro (one-time $4.99):** unlimited alarms, Gentle Wake sunrise, any device ringtone, custom barcodes for dismiss, no ads anywhere. --- Part of the Hill App 24-Hour Wellbeing Ecosystem with **Hushh** (evening wind-down) and **Pill Dot** (medication tracker). Three apps, one developer, no subscriptions, no analytics, no surprise charges. Wake up smarter. --- *Wakey is not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any sleep disorder. Sleep-debt estimates are heuristic and based on when you set and dismiss your alarms — not on biometric data.*
