Full description
Every question is an original practice item written in the style of the official format. Read the prompt, choose your answer, and then read an explanation of why each option is right or wrong, so you learn from the question itself and not only from the answer. 2,003 QUESTIONS ACROSS 10 GRADE LEVELS Practice at your own level: grade 10, grade 9, grade 8, grade 7, grade 6, grade 5, pre-2, grade 2, pre-1 and grade 1. FIVE PRACTICE AREAS - Readings (yomi): choose the correct reading for the underlined kanji. - Writing (kakitori): choose the correct kanji for the given reading. - Radicals (bushu): identify the radical of a kanji. - Antonyms (taigigo): choose the word opposite in meaning. - Four-character idioms (yoji-jukugo): complete the idiom. A KANJI DICTIONARY BUILT IN 223 characters, each with on-yomi, kun-yomi, radical, stroke count and meaning. Browse by grade level and open any character for the full entry. STUDY TOOLS THAT KEEP YOU GOING - Wrong-answer notebook: every question you miss is collected automatically. Review them together, or mark one as understood to remove it from the list. - Statistics: overall accuracy, total answered, total correct, mastered count, today's activity, and a per-area accuracy breakdown. - Daily goal and streak: set how many questions you want each day and watch your consecutive study days grow. - Spaced review: questions you get wrong come back sooner, and questions you know well come back later. - Randomised every session: question order and answer order are reshuffled each time, so you learn the answers rather than their positions. MADE FOR REAL DAILY USE - Fully offline. No internet connection is needed at any point, so you can study on the train, on a plane, or anywhere else. - Japanese and English interface. - Light theme, dark theme, or follow your system setting. - Choose your own session length, from a quick five questions to a long run. - No account, no sign-up, no ads. - No personal data is collected. Everything stays on your device. HOW TO USE IT 1. On the home screen, pick a field, a grade level and a practice set, or tap a quick-start button to begin straight away. 2. Answer each question and read the explanation. 3. Review your score at the end, then retry or review only the questions you missed. 4. Check the statistics screen to see which areas need the most work. ABOUT THE CONTENT All questions and explanations are original items written in the style of the Kanji Kentei question format. They are not reproductions of official past examination papers. Kanji readings, radicals and stroke counts are based on publicly available reference material, including the Agency for Cultural Affairs "Joyo Kanji Table" and the Ministry of Education "Grade-level Kanji Assignment Table". More questions are added over time. FULLY OFFLINE AND PRIVATE The app works without a network connection and collects no personal information. Your study records are stored only on your own device, and you can erase them at any time from the settings screen. DISCLAIMER This application is an independent, unofficial study tool. It is not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Japan Kanji Aptitude Testing Foundation. "Kanji Kentei" and "漢検" are trademarks of their respective owner.
