Full description
Cover your phone's rear camera and flash with your fingertip, hold still for about twenty seconds, and Pulsora reads your pulse from the tiny color changes in your skin. No strap, no separate sensor, nothing to pair. Just your phone. HOW IT WORKS Your phone's camera and flash already have everything needed to pick up a pulse signal: light passes through your fingertip, blood flow changes how much of it gets reflected back, and that tiny flicker repeats with every heartbeat. Pulsora watches that flicker, works out your beats per minute, and shows a live pulse wave while it's reading. If the signal is too noisy to trust, it tells you to retake the reading instead of showing a number that might be wrong. WHAT'S INCLUDED FROM THE START - An instant BPM estimate, any time, with no cap on how often you check - A live waveform while the reading is in progress, so you can see it working - Your most recent 7 days of readings saved and viewable WHAT PRO ADDS Beyond a single BPM number, Pro opens up heart rate variability: RMSSD, SDNN, and pNN50, each measured against your own personal baseline rather than a generic chart that assumes everyone's body works the same way. On top of that, Pro adds a stress score and a morning readiness score, weekly and monthly trend lines so patterns actually become visible over time, unlimited history instead of the 7-day cap, and tags for each reading (morning, bedtime, before or after a workout, after meditation) so you can see how context shifts your numbers. It's one purchase, not a subscription, and it unlocks everything Pro gets later too. PRIVATE AND OFFLINE Every camera frame is processed directly on your phone. Nothing is uploaded, nothing pings a server, and there's no account required to use any part of the app. Your reading history stays on your device unless you choose to back it up yourself. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Is Pulsora a medical device? No. Pulsora estimates wellness metrics for personal tracking and awareness. It is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If something about your heart is actually concerning you, please see a doctor. Do I need a subscription? No. The core BPM check has no usage cap and needs no subscription. Pro is a single one-time purchase that unlocks HRV, stress, readiness, trends, and full history permanently. Why does it sometimes ask me to try again? When your fingertip shifts, the lighting changes, or the signal is otherwise too noisy to trust, Pulsora would rather ask for a retake than show you a number it can't stand behind. Does it work without an internet connection? Yes. Every reading is processed entirely on your phone. No connection is required for the camera-based check to work. What is HRV and why does it matter? Heart rate variability is the natural variation in time between heartbeats. Tracked over time against your own baseline, it can offer a useful signal for recovery and stress awareness, which is why Pro compares it to your history rather than a one-size-fits-all number. Can I export or back up my readings? Your history stays stored on your device. Backing it up to your own cloud storage is something you control directly, since Pulsora itself never uploads anything on its own. Pulsora turns something you already carry into a quick, private way to check in with your body.
