The objective is to achieve the lowest cumulative score. You want to avoid winning tricks containing penalty cards: • Each Heart (♥) = 1 penalty point • The Queen of Spades (♠Q) = 13 penalty points! 🎮 HOW TO PLAY 1. Setup: 52 cards are dealt equally (13 cards each to 4 players). 2. Card Passing: Before the round begins, players choose 3 cards to pass (Pass Left, Pass Right, Pass Across, or Keep on round 4). 3. The Opening Lead: The player holding the 2 of Clubs (2♣) must lead the first trick. 4. Following Suit: Players must follow the led suit if they have a card of that suit. If you have no cards of that suit, you can discard any other card! 5. First Trick Rule: No penalty points (Hearts or ♠Q) can be discarded on the very first trick. 6. Breaking Hearts: Hearts cannot be led until Hearts are "broken" by a penalty card discard, or when a player holds only Hearts. 7. Winning a Trick: The highest card of the led suit wins the trick and leads the next one. 8. Game Over: When any player reaches 100 points, the game ends.
