ABOUT THIS APP We are excited to launch our Mobile app: Health9ja. This app is dedicated to addressing the critical health issues facing young people in Nigeria, particularly around sexual and reproductive health, HIV/AIDS prevention, STIs and other health challenges. Nigeria has the highest rate of new HIV/AIDS infections among young people in sub-Saharan Africa, with approximately 40% of new infections occurring in adolescents and youth. Around 38,000 people will contact HIV in Nigeria each year and 1 in 7 of those will not know they have been infected. These statistics highlight the urgent need for comprehensive awareness and preventive education. Health9ja provides accurate and nonjudgmental health information for adolescents and young people, empowering them to make informed choices about their sexual and reproductive health. From preventing HIV/AIDS to overcoming stigma, we're here to support your journey to a healthier life. Health9ja features Knowledge base, exciting quiz games, information on where to get help when needed and friendly online counselors you can trust. Essential topics include HIV/AIDS and STI prevention, risk factors, reproductive health, and decision-making strategies for young people. Our goal is to empower youths with accurate information to make informed health choices and contribute to a healthier generation.
