HCE Test Tool

HCE Test Tool uses Android HCE to emulate synthetic cards for NFC readers and test terminals in controlled development environments. Choose a Built-in Visa, Mastercard or American Express profile, or import a supported HCEImage profile. Record APDUs, validate the flow and inspect the result. Card profiles and test security data: - EMV and legacy contactless test profiles - synthetic contactless card and tokenized test scenarios - profile-specific guidance and test PIN information - native .hceimage.json profile import with a metadata preview - validation of format, brand, unique Profile ID, EMV data and supplied key check values - Copy an existing profile with a new Name and unique Profile ID; functional values stay unchanged - Built-in, Imported and Created profiles, with origin filters - protected Built-in profiles; delete Imported/Created profiles with Undo - optional custom test-security data for supported profiles - custom application cryptogram test keysets - offline data authentication test keys - generated Visa MSD dCVV and Mastercard MSI CVC3 with synthetic card keys, or fixed test values - native payload v2 support; existing payload v1 imports remain readable - complete security-data group validation - masked presentation of test-security values Imported/Created profiles and embedded synthetic security defaults are stored privately, excluded from Android backup and validated again on load. Copy excludes temporary Emulator overrides. Emulator overrides are memory-only: use once or Keep until app closed. Confirmed Reset restores profile defaults, falling back to synthetic engine defaults, without editing the saved profile. Overrides survive tabs and rotation but are not saved to profiles, settings, history, reports, logs, clipboard or backups. Generated test APDU responses can appear in history and reports. Never enter production keys or real payment credentials. APDU inspection and analysis: - live command/response timeline, timing and session duration - headers, status words, BER-TLV and contextual EMV descriptions - DOL/CDOL/TDOL/DDOL/AFL interpretation and scheme-specific decoding - expandable raw/decoded values and copying - expected-flow checks and completed, failed or interrupted results History and reports: - local session history, result filters and editable notes - session summaries, APDUs and configurable history retention - Markdown/HTML/PDF reports with local saving and user-initiated sharing - delete records with Undo - Full or Redacted export; redaction omits card-derived values and notes Guidance and settings: - separate emulator and test guidance - links to developer guides and native-format specifications - configurable light, dark, or system appearance - optional result vibration - optional emulation start timeout - controlled NFC routing while an emulation session is active - tabs, backgrounding and rotation retain live results but stop NFC; restart explicitly Privacy and connectivity: - no user account required - no advertising - no analytics or tracking - offline testing; web guides and privacy information require a browser and connectivity - no automatic diagnostic uploads; reports leave the app only when you save or share them - local history and settings follow Android backup settings; Imported/Created profiles are excluded Use synthetic test data only. HCE Test Tool does not provide payment, banking, wallet, money-transfer or other financial services and cannot make real purchases. It is exclusively for authorized development, integration testing and controlled test environments. Requirements: - Android device with NFC host card emulation support - NFC enabled - compatible external contactless reader or payment terminal configured for testing Behavior depends on the reader, terminal kernel, payment application, profile and test host. Authorization and processing outside the emulator are not controlled by HCE Test Tool.
