Pintar brings more than 40 languages into one clear learning app. Learn English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Turkish, Vietnamese, Russian, Chinese and Japanese, or find hard-to-find languages like Malay, Javanese, Iban, Kadazan, Dusun, Amharic, Somali and Swahili, all in one place. Welsh, Irish, Basque, Catalan, Hawaiian and Māori now have full beginner courses too, each starting with a short lesson on the language's spelling and sounds. LEARN STEP BY STEP Start with letters or useful words, depending on the course. Short lessons can include: - Pictures and word matching - Listening and pronunciation - Sentence building - Dialogues, reading and review Chinese and Japanese show pinyin or romaji on every line, and Russian and Japanese begin with a short alphabet course, so you never have to guess how a word sounds. LEARN ENGLISH IN YOUR OWN LANGUAGE The English course explains everything in Arabic, Korean, Indonesian, Malay, Hindi, Bengali or Urdu, following the language you use in the app. MADE FOR BEGINNERS No previous knowledge is required. Pintar gives children, adults, families and teachers a clear place to start. CHOOSE WITH CONFIDENCE Before you begin, each course shows its lesson count, explanation language, audio availability and review status. Switch languages without losing your place, and return to the next lesson whenever you are ready. No account is required to begin. Course depth and audio vary by language. Some languages have full beginner courses; others currently offer topic-based word practice. Pintar shows this clearly before you start. An internet connection is currently required. Lessons may display a small, non-personalised, G-rated banner.
